- Born in 1955 in Manchester, UK, Peter Saville is one of the most renowned British graphic designers. He gained notoriety in the late 1970s and 80s for his work with Manchester’s independent music label, Factory Records which he co-founded, designing album covers for bands such as Joy Division and New Order among others. Extending beyond the music industry, his design work includes collaborations with Adobe Systems, CNN, Givenchy and other well-known brands in the UK and abroad. Also active as an artist, he presented Touching Work, a collaborative piece created as an artist unit with Anna Blessmann (born 1969 in Berlin, Germany) at the former Korakukan Tenjin High School during the Okayama Art Summit 2016. The work was well-received, especially among children.
