9/28 13:00 Accompany Henaff2019.09.27

On a changing planet, survival demands new means of interspecies collaboration.

With a generation time of 20 minutes and the ability to absorb DNA from their neighbours, microorganisms can evolve, and adapt, much faster than plants and animals.

Accompany the artist Elizabeth Henaff on a walk through her work DRIFT which explores Okayama’s waterways through the lens of their microbiome. Take home a copy of the Gene Zine, a series of genomic notes from the underground serving the subculture of multispecies collaborations, embedded with the DNA of this site.

Date: 28th of September
Time: 13:00-14:00
Location: Okayama Castle Moat (where the artist exhibits her work)
