Interview with OAS participant Reynaud-Dewar

Artist participating in Okayama Art Summit 2019, Lili Reynaud-Dewar says the “Okayama Art Summit is my studio. I present work and work here.”

Reynaud-Dewar was born in France in 1975. She lives in Rome and Grenoble. She dances, writes, talks, teaches, makes movies, video installations, furniture, sculptures, feminist magazines, performances, alone, with her friends, students and family. She has been a professor at Haute École d’Art et de Design in Geneva since 2010.

At the OAS, she will present a live filming session about the assassination of an Italian filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini. She says “I find the presence of the river is very important here. One of the scenes will take place by the river at night.” She continues that “the city is my location of production. I am physically engaging with it. Since it has more spaces than big cities, I feel more comfortable.”
