Pre-Event of the 4th Okayama Art Summit: Call for Production Supporters for the Event "Flying People" in May 2025

For the fourth Okayama Art Summit, Shimabuku has been appointed as the Artistic Translator bridging the exhibition's concept with others through various programs.

We are now calling for production supporters for the event “Flying People” to be held in mid-May 2025 as one of these programs. A workshop with a lecture will be held on the following dates. This is a chance to work with Shimabuku on his artwork. We are looking forward to receiving applications from those who are interested.

About "Flying People”
"Flying People" is a participatory artwork by Shimabuku, where each participant creates a life-sized self-portrait kite and flies it themselves. Previously held in Chiang Rai, Thailand, and Santander, Spain, this project has engaged approximately 300 participants. In Okayama, we aim to involve around 100 citizens in 2025.
