岡山芸術交流 Okayama Art Summit

About

Okayama Art Summit is the international exhibition of contemporary art (conceptual art) aiming to be held triennially in Okayama City. The first exhibition took place in 2016. Works of worldwide modern artists will be displayed at various historical and cultural sites around Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden area. Art appreciation and walking tours of the city can be enjoyed at the same time as you can make a round of the venues by foot. This is one of the features of Okayama Art Summit.


Purpose of the Event

  • Rediscovering Okayama City’s historical and cultural resources and improving attractiveness through creating and delivering a new art culture
  • Contribution to the development of the world art culture
  • Creating attractiveness of Okayama City and developing human resource to support it through collaboration between private sector and government
  • Creating a mechanism to link artistic and cultural activities to solutions to regional challenges
  • City branding through the vitalization of artistic and cultural activities to attract people both domestically and internationally to Okayama City and surrounding areas
